What's the job scope of an industrial engineer in the warehousing/3PL industry?

My previous experience in 3PL industry as an industrial engineer comprised of the following responsibilities:

  1. Continuous improvement projects (this includes process improvement)
    • Time motion study
    • Waste reduction using different methodologies (DMAIC, LEAN, VSM, fish bone etc)
    • Manpower utilization
  2. Warehouse layout design (for new sites and operations)/ re-design (for existing sites and operations)
  3. Supply Chain Network Analysis
  4. Aiding the costing/tender team in solutioning for new RFP

I thought IE is more well known for manufacturing industry. Didn't know that they work in logistics industry as well.
