In a way, yes. Imagine the returns are not in pallets or cartons form. Sometimes, the returns are in loose pieces.

For example, returns from a retail shop. Most likely, the cartons will be filled with loose pieces of sifferent SKU. It is challenging for operations to sort and segregate the individual SKU.

The is also the issue of damaged goods and expired goods.

The returns team has to perform quality checks on these returns volume on separate the sellable goods vs the non sellable goods as well.

I understand from the operations that returns typically are tricky to manage.

This is for both B2B and B2C, especially with the ecommerce gaining popularity nowadays.
